The urban revitalization of Santa Clara and Villa de Guadalupe, in zone 10 of Guatemala city, was the theme of the projects exposed by Architectural Design students from the Architecture School of the Francisco Marroquín University.

«The School has reinforced urbanism and public space aspects during the past years.  We have developed several projects on those subjects and kept communication with professionals from the Mayor´s Office, to share knowledge between us», Luisa de Wer, one of the class professors, explained.

«In this opportunity Rodolfo Azpuru, member of the Metropolitan Development Plan and Coordinator of the Plan de Ordenamiento Territorial de la Municipalidad de Guatemala, and Rafael Yee, UFM´s faculty member, were invited as project judges.  The subject of the exercise was urban revitalization, and the students made an analysis and proposals for the area of Santa Clara and Villa de Guadalupe in zone 10″, Wer explained.

The faculty teaching the class are architects Roberto Quevedo, Héctor Santamarina and Luisa de Wer.
