»Atlas shrugged» Reading Club

The cover of the book Atlas Shrugged, published by Grito Sagrado

Atlas shrugged, by Ayn Rand, «the book that changed more lives, after the Bible», according to a survey elaborated by the Monthly book Club and the Library of Congress of the United States of America, will be object of reading and discussions at the Reading Club of the Ludwig von Mises Library, of the Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

» Atlas shrugged is a song to the human spirit and mind that deserves to be listened by all those that love freedom. When I finished reading it, something extremely significant had taken place in my life: the virtue and nobility of freedom had shined so brilliant that it hurt me, burned my retinas and penetrated deep in my heart. At the same time, I found intolerable and oppressive the malignant darkness of totalitarianism in which we live», said Freddy Kofman, from Editorial Grito Sagrado, responsible for the most recent edition of the book, in Spanish without censorship.

The reading club will meet on Thursdays, from July 19th until October 11th of 2007, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
