Professor Livingston is author of the books Hume’s Philosophy of Common Lifeand Philosophical Philosophy and Delirium; and Armando de la Torre is a theologist, philosopher and director of the UFM’s Social Sciences Superior School.

David Hume’s Ethics Center is conceived as a Socratic forum on human experience and is dedicated to the study of ethics evolution.  The same one was presented on January 2005 with a forum on David Hume, his work and relevance in the XXI Century.

The Center is willing to provide an open and permanent space of reflection and discussion on human experience, ethical values and ethics in a society of free and responsible persons; to diffuse the ethical principles of a society of free and responsible persons, to explore, discuss and consolidate relationships between ethics, economics and social cooperation; to constitute a permanent forum of ethics related topics, to be an electronic documentation source on ethics, economics and social cooperation.

During his visit to the UFM, Donald Livingston also participated in a Socratic Dialogue with UFM’s professors organized by the David Hume Ethics Center.  Livingston gave a lecture don David Hume’s thought on April 20th.
