Entrepreneurs begun course at the UFM

Ready to build their corporations and develop as successful individuals, a group of teenagers between 16 and 18 years old are participating in the Entrepreneurial course organized by the Francisco Marroquín University.

Entrepreneurial Spirit is an integral course directed by the Excellence Center, the Admissions Department and the UFM’s Presidency, where the participants learn to use philosophical, moral, psychological, economic and entrepreneurial tools needed to achieve their own goals and to succeed in a competitive free market economy. This means, they will:

Learn to detect and value opportunities.Act consequently, developing a quick action plan.Understand the context in which they are acting.Defend and strengthen the economic process that makes the entrepreneurial activity possible.Identify and cultivate the personal qualities that make you successful.The Entrepreneurial Course is directed to high school students with personal ambition and initiative who want to be tomorrow’s leaders.  It has five modules:  entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, economics, marketing and finance.  The professors are Carla de Hess, Rossanna de Grazioso, Giancarlo Ibárgüen S., José Raúl González, Fritz Thomas, Manuel F. Ayau, Ricardo Castillo A. and Fernando Monterroso V.

Only a small number of participants ware admitted in order to improve the training capacity, direct contact with the teachers and the participants integration.  They come from the high schools Village, Campoalegre, SEK, American, Entrevalles, Decroly, Montessori, Metropolitano, Interamericano, Internacionial, Valle Verde and Monte María.

The future entrepreneurs are: Ana Isabel and Jorge Eduardo Aguilar, Ana Sofía Calderón, María Alejandra Cifuentes, Melanie Kolter, María Isabel and José Andrés Medina, Krusheinska Medinilla, Carlos Fernando Montes, Javier Ogarrio, Rafael Santiago, María Isabel Rosales, Ricardo Santizo, Stephanie Zimerie, Janina Zimeri, Rodrigo Guerra, Andrés Goicolea, María Lourdes Rodríguez, Juan Cristián Wunderlich, Andrés Pavia, Karen Lorenzo and Lourdes María Parellada.

The event has its preceding successful entrepreneurial forum celebrated last May 4th, with the participation of more than 600 students.
