»From the darkness», at the Cervantes Institute, in London

From the darkness, the novel of Oswaldo Salazar that obtained the Prize Mario Monteforte Toledo in 2003, which was published in Spanish with the title Por el lado oscuro, will be presented next Thursday March 15 of 2007 at the Cervantes Institute, of London.

Salazar will make a series of activities related to his book in that European city.  These include a book signature in an important bookstore on March 14th and a presentation at
Canning House, on the 12 of that month.

This novel of Salazar is one of the most
popular titles, in Spanish, at the New York Library, and narrates the history of Mauricia Hernandez, a woman sentenced to death for assassinating her husband during the period of General Jorge Ubico. The case was well-known, in Guatemala, as the tecomate crime

Oswaldo Salazar is doctor in Philosophy and is a university professor at the UFM School of Economic Sciences.
