James Biteman at the UFM’s Campus 

James H. Biteman, from the A.B. Freeman School of Business, from Tulane University, will give the first of three parts of the course Entrepreneurship and Business Venturing at the Business School of Universidad Francisco Marroquín, from Monday 25th until Wednesday 27th  of September 2006.

The course provides an orientation on the idea of entrepreneurship and education on the essential principles for a successful business.  It focuses on the themes that a businessman or the owner/CEO is more concerned in a middle business.  Besides presenting essential ideas for the business creation and administration he also provides cases and group activities to discuss.  These activities include practices and work relationships with other executives, as well as advance readings.

How to start a businessHow to think in successThe market and building a brandDaily administrationGrowth and globalizationDuring the last 9 years, Ph.D. Biteman has taught in international programs in Eastern Europe, Mexico, South America, China and Taiwan.  During the last 6 years he has received awards for educative excellence, including three Outstanding Teacher Awards.  Biteman has guided clients and facilitated their administrative activities, including the restructuring of operations in Latin America, for an International Insurance Company and the implementation of global assistance for a petroleum field service provider.

The visitor has given testimonies on cases of damages by commercial restrictions and has had administrative responsibilities in global corporations in several industries.

Biteman received a Business Administration Doctoral degree at the Graduate School of Business Administration of Harvard University; he obtained his B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University.

During his first year at the UFM, Biteman toured the UFM campus with Sergio Enríquez, academic vicedean of the Business School; and Macarena Lucar, professor of the Universidad del Desarrollo, who will lecture conferences at the UFMs Psychology School.
