King´s College announces electives at UFM

A group of students at the Barbara Health Center in San Juan Sacatepequez

The students of King’s College, in the United Kingdom, can make their elective in the School of Medicine of Universidad Francisco Marroquín and in its Program of Rural Practice, that house of studies

announced.

Also UFM students can make their electives at King’s College.

The Program of Rural Practice is in a clinic for patients of limited resources located in San Juan Sacatepequez.  It is developed at the Centro de Salud Bárbara operated by the UFM’s School of Medicine and Foundacion Chusita Llerandi de Herrera.

During their practices there, students acquire skills and self-confidence as far as understanding and solving the most frequent health problems of the area.  Each foreign student, there, is accompanied by a Guatemalan student who supports him.
