To give a workshop on helping abilities on crisis situations, the psychologist Macarena Lucar Arce is at the Psychology Department of the Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

The workshop includes aspects like paraphrasing, feeling reflexes, explorations, confrontation and interpretation, as well as integration techniques.  The same one is celebrated from September 25-26th 2006.

Lucar Arce is a psychologist by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, she obtained a post degree on Narrative Therapy.  She has a master degree on Social Work, by the University of the City of Los Angeles.  Currently, she is a faculty member at the Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile.

During her first day at the UFM, professor Lucar visited the Academic Building and its Socratic Wing, the New Media Digital Resources Center, the Center of advanced Technologies, the Ludwig von Mises Library and the Museo Popol Vuh, joined by professor James Biteman and the Vice -dean of the Business School, Sergio Enriquez.
