Students of Social Philosophy, from Medicine and Law Schools, participated in a Socratic exercise organized by that class and the Excellence Center of Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

«The ropes activity is a different way of having class and to understand a little more the themes we have seen in the videos and in class, I think this type of class helps us settle more our knowledge», said the student Edgar Berganza.

«The goals pursued during the activity were: to understand how spontaneous order works, how it is that when persecuting your own goals, common goals are reached and how is that dispersed knowledge enriches more society than concentrated knowledge», explained professor Luis Figueroa.

The activity was lead by Carla de Hess, director of the Excellence Center and with the participation of the assistant professor, Carlos Posadas.

The course of Social Philosophy is distributed by the Henry Hazlitt Center whose mission is the planning, execution and control of all the courses related to philosophy and the economic process, imparted in and outside the University. Throughout the year it organizes a series of dialogues and conferences, lectured by national and foreign professionals, who have excelled by their ideas and profits, and share with us the restlessness to form people with solid ethical principles, eager to conquer the excellence in all the manifestations of their life.

The Excellence Center is an educative project directed to the UFM students and external persons to contribute to their integral education, developing teamwork and leadership abilities.
