Negotiation and mediation at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Cristian Cantor, adressing EPRI´s students

Cristian Cantor, consul of Israel in Guatemala, lectured the students of the Institute of Political Studies and International Relations, of the Francisco Marroquín University on the principles of  negotiation and mediation as opposed to the future perspective of Palestinian the Israeli- conflict.

Cantor is graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Negotiation Techniques.

«In that direction, the EPRI´s Ibn Khaldun Center has raised the option to make a seminary workshop on the mechanisms of political negotiation and the perspective of the mentioned conflict that looks to a postdegree level», the director of the Center, David Martínez-Amador, informed.

The objective of the IK Center is to provide a space with academic activities to analyze the relation of the Western and the Islamic World; space in which the information can arrive at the students, academic and people interested in the subject.

It aims to be a tool that complements their knowledge and facilitates them being updated in the main discussions related to the last events in the Islamic world.

The conference took place on Wednesday February 8 of 2006, at the Milton Friedman Auditorium of the New Media Building, in the UFM.
