The young French pianist, Adelaida Panaget, who made her professional debut in Guatemala during 2005 with great success and a great audience, returned to the country to present an extraordinary recital-concert last April 18th of 2007 at the Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Auditorium of Universidad Francisco Marroquín, within the framework of the Festival Internacional Bravísimo 2007 of Organización para las Artes Francisco Marroquín.

«Hardly 20 years old, Adelaide Panaget is a serious and youthful pianist. She initiated her piano studies at the age of six and, in spite of the great pressure that being different represents among her young friends, she has decided to direct her life to attain a career as a classic pianist. She studies an average of eight hours a day and her dedication to her instrument has taken her to receive several prizes in France», informed Geraldina Baca-Spross, president of the Organization.

«Panaget began her piano studies when she was 6 years old. She integrated the National Conservatory of Paris at 10. At the moment she has 21 and already has obtained first prizes for piano excellence in 2003 and in 2004, both at the CNR Rueil Malmaison», explained Baca-Spross.

«In 2005, she initiated her perfection studies in Reuil and has been invited to participate in the 40th anniversary of the UNICEF foundation in Paris. In addition, she forms part of a youth musicians group in Paris and gives piano lessons to children», she concluded.

The program that Adelaide Panaget presented in Guatemala has an unusual structure rarely used, since it involves a great responsibility that few artists assume when presenting a recital for single piano in the first part and a concert with orchestra in the second part.  In synthesis, the entire concert falls on the shoulders of the solo artist, being also a memory challenge.  The program included works of Debussy, Liszt, Prokofiev and Beethoven.  She had the participation of the Orquesta Clásica de Guatemala under the direction of Ricardo del Carmen Fortuny.
