School of Medicine and Cleveland Clinic in Scientific Session

The IX Scientific Session, organized by the School of Medicine of Universidad Francisco Marroquín, Fundación Chusita Llereandi de Herrera and the Cleveland Clinic, will be celebrated in Guatemala from Monday 7th to Wednesday 9th of May 2007, at Hotel Camino Real from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. informed Doctor Edgar López, the Schools Secretary.

During the session, doctors, neurologists, neurosurgeons, students and residents of Guatemala and Central America will be able to get updated in the latest treatments for epilepsy, chronic pain, seizures and dorsal spine problems.

The Cleveland Clinic makes and effort to share the best practices with international doctors, said Bill Ruschhapupt, director of Global Patient Services at the Cleveland Clinic. This encounter gives the basis to reach those doctors and patients, in Guatemala and Central America, so that we can help to improve the patients care, he added.
