The Virtue of Selfishness is a luxury edition by Grito Sagrado.

Since selfishness is, in Ayn Rand’s words, the concern of personal interest, every attack against selfishness is an attack against man’s self-esteem.  That is the main conclusion of The Virtue of Selfishness, Rand’s book that now is available in Spanish with the title La virtud del egoísmo.

The book is being sold at UFM bookstores and in Sophos; and soon it will be in other bookstores in Guatemala.

The Virtue of Selfishness is a collection of essays by Ayn Rand and Nathaniel Branden, who defines the foundations and moral principles of Objetivism.  

Regarding the importance of ethics, in this edition of The Virtue of Selfishness, Manfred F. Schneider and Rosa Pelz wrote that «ethics is not a mystical fantasy, a social conventionalism or a subjective luxury which you can do without.  Ethics is an objective necessity for the survival of human beings, not by grace of the supernatural or by the desire of its resemblances.  It does not obey either to your own whims.  It is a consequence of the same reality and life’s nature».
