Zane Spindler visited UFM

Professor Zane Spindler, from Simon Fraser University, Canada, visited Universidad Francisco Marroquín for a series of meetings with members of the Public Choice Analysis Center (Cadep) and students from the Institute of Political Studies and International Relations of this house of studies.

Spindler is an expert in subjects like money, central banking, war and democracy; he was formed at the school of public decision analysis or Public Choice.    

At the UFM, he spoke about War and Rent Seeking: A Public Choice Perspective on the Pacific War; last January 23rd of 2007; and on Democratic and Economic Policy: Lessons on Asia, last January 24 of 2007.  

At
SFU he teaches at masters and doctorate levels in the programs of Business Administration, Management Economics and Businesses Ethics. In pre-degree he theaches courses on Public Policies, Constitutionalist Law, Economy and Economy of the Bureaucracy.

The visitor obtained his doctoral degree in Economy at Michigan State University.  He has extensively published on subjects related to his areas of interest and experience and has interest on Asian economies.
