Carla Guelfenbein at UFM’s reading Club

Carla Guelfebein, novelist and ex director of the Elle Magazine in Chile, visited the Reading Club of the Ludwig von Mises Library at the Francisco Marroquín University last August 2nd 2006.

The author of El revés del alma and La mujer de mi vida talked of her career as a writer, her writing style and the narrative techniques she prefers.  Guelfenbein is a biologist and accompanied the reading club members for one hour, where she presented the named novels published by Alfaguara.

The Ludwig von Mises of the Francisco Marroquín University, as part of its cultural activities opened a space for people who like to read and want to improve their reading habit and make it a useful and nice hobby.

The meetings, coordinated by Adelaida Loukota, are held every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Theres no cost, each person will bring his book and the parking space is Q10 per hour.  For more information email us at
