Police Chief lectured conference at the UFM

Edwin Sperissen, Police Director, during his conference at the UFM.

La Policía Nacional Civil: trayectoria y perspectivas, was the title of the conference that the head of citizen security, dictated last January 24th of 2007, at Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

Erwin Sperissen, General Director of the PNC, addressed students and professors from the UFMs Institute of Political Studies and International Relaciones, at the Friedrich A. Hayek Auditorium.

During his lecture, the Police chief talked about decentralization and modernization of the police forces; combat against organized crime and other axes of his administration.  He also explaines some results.

Sperissen has been president of the Comisón de Jefes y Directores de Policía de Centro América y El Caribe; Council at the Mayors Office; Concejal at City Hall; coordinator of the Coordinadora Municipal para la Reducción de Desastres; and member of the board of directors at Empresa Municipal de Regulación de Transito y Transporte.
