Adriana Castellanos, Second year student at the School of Economic Sciences at Universidad Francisco Marroquín, participated in the program The Fund for American Studies, at Washington D.C.

As part of the program, she took classes, during 8 weeks at the Institute on Business and Government Affaires of Georgetown University; and did an internship at the Solar Energy Industries Association.

At the IBGA she took courses on Business, Government and Public Policy; Power and Values; and Leadership Scholars.

During her
experience in Washington she visited the Cato Institute, the Hispanic American Center for Economic Research, the White House, the Capitol, the Federal Reserve and the World Bank, among others. At HACER she celebrated what would have been Milton Friedman’s 95th birthday.

«I had an extraordinary opportunity to meet Senators, writers and people from all over the world.  The economic knowledge I received at the UFM was very advanced, compared to what my classmates in the program knew», Castellanos said.
