Ambassador of the United Kingdom, at the UFM

Giancarlo Ibárgüen S., UFM’s President; Lissa Hanckel; Ian N. Hughes, ambassador of the United Kingdom; and Eileen Rivera

Ian N. Hughes, ambassador of the United Kingdom in Guatemala, visited the Universidad Francisco Marroquín last Thursday September 21st 2006.

Joined by Eileen Rivera, press aggregate, the diplomatic representative met the President, Giancarlo Ibárgüen S. and fiduciary Lissa Hanckel.

Hughes expressed that the purpose of visits like these is to understand Guatemala’s future in the fields of technology, education, economy and politics, among others.

President Ibárgüen spoke to him about the UFM’s
mission that is to teach and disseminate the ethical, juridical and economic principles of a society of free and responsible persons; and our commitment with
excellence.  The President also showed them the websites of
Arboretum and the
New Media Digital Resources Center.

When the meeting concluded, Hughes and Rivera visited the campus joined by Lissa Hanckel.
