EPRI professors participated in Perspectivas

Invitation to the forum Elections 2007

Pedro Trujillo, director of the Institute of Political Studies and International Relations of Universidad Francisco Marroquin; and Francisco Beltranena, professor in that academic unit, participated in the forum Elections 2007: a preliminary analysis, that is part of the series Perspectives organized by four universities and the news paper Prensa Libre.

Ph.D. Beltrantena participated as a panelist with Víctor Gálvez, from Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales.  On the other hand, Trujillo participated as a commentator with Heidy de Matta, from Escuela de Ciencia Política from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala; Ariel Rivera, from Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales, from Universidad Rafael Landívar, and Yolanda Pérez, from Unidad de Ciencias Políticas, from Universidad Mariano Gálvez.

The News Paper Prensa Libre, together with Universidad Francisco Marroquín, Universidad Mariano Gálvez, Universidad  Rafael Landívar and Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala, organized the forums as a contribution to the comprehention and discussion of national reality.

The previous forum, of this series, was held at Universidad Rafael Landívar in September 2006, where Giancarlo Ibárgüen S., UFM’s president participated.  The theme was: What educational reform do we need?
