President of Korean university, at the UFM

In order to know the campus and to establish a friendly and cooperative relation, president Choe Il-shin, of the Hankyong University of South Korea, visited Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

During his visit he was received by the president, Giancarlo Ibárgüen S. and by the administrative vicepresident, Ottavio Benfatto. Ibárgüen commented with Choe the UFM’s mission that is to teach and diffuse the ethical, juridical and economic principles of a society of free and responsible persons and our commitment with excellence.

Both parts expressed their consent to establish relations and explored the possibility of doing so in the area of Architecture.

President Choe came accompanied by Hwang Seong-gu, from Hankyong University; Choe Weon-shik and Kim Eung-ji, from Korea’s Cooperation Agency.

When concluding the meeting with president Ibárgüen and after a gift interchange, the visitors made a tour through the UFM campus and the Museo Popol Vuh, accompanied by vicepresident Benfatto.
