Training at the Excellence Center

Ready for training!

The Excellence Center team from the Francisco Marroquín University participated in several training sessions during April 2006.

The new facilitators, that will impart workshops in the future, participated in a training workshop organized by Karin de Schwank, who shared with them new dynamics to be used in different classes and programs at the UFM.

A group of students of this house of studies was trained as a safety and assistant team for the ropes dynamics workshops.

The new safety team of the UFMs Excellence Center had the opportunity to live challenging experiences on high ropes, such as the bell and the catwalk.  The youngsters learned the use and management of harness, helmets, rope installation and more related Carla de Hess, the Centers director.

The ropes camp facilities of the Excellence Center are located in a hill behind the Ludwig von Mises Library that also comprises the UFM’s
Arboretum.  Almost 2,000 persons have received workshops and ropes dynamics at the university including students, teachers and administrative personnel of this house of studies, and also students from other institutions and corporations.

The Excellence Center is an educational project directed to UFM students and external persons to contribute to their integral education, the development of group working and leadership skills.
