Village School at the Excellence Center

Some of the students from Village School on the ropes activities.

Twenty-three senior students from Village School participated in a workshop at the Excellence Center of Universidad Francisco Marroquín last January 18th of 2007.

The workshop was coordinated by Andrea Musso and facilitated by Pili Biba, both from the Psychology Department; and by Carla de Hess, director of the Center.

The facilities of the Excellence Center are in a hill behind the Ludwig von Mises Library and comprise the UFMs Arboretum. More than 2.000 people have received workshops that include ropes dynamics in the University, including students, educational and administrative personnel of this house of studies; as well as students of other institutions and collaborator companies.

The Excellence Center is an educative project directed to students from the UFM and external persons to contribute to their integral education, developing the teamwork and leadership abilities, explained Carla de Hess, director of the Center.
When commenting the experience, the students said that:

I learned about communication and cooperation. It seemed to me a very good activity; and I learned to share and to help my friends more. I learned much on confidence and teamwork. I was enchanted and impressed by the collaboration of my class group. That it is easier as a team, but sometimes you must work individually. I learned to trust my companions more. I never thought that activities as these had much to teach to us. More photos,
