Students, professors and administrative personnel of the Francisco Marroquín University participated in a course titled Why Just Google it? Ebsco it!, imparted by the Information Center of the Ludwig von Mises Library.
The course, given at three different dates, allowed the participants to know, or improve their knowledge about the resources available at the Ludwig von Mises Library, specially by instruments like EBSCOHost, JStor, xRefer, Oxford University Press and the library´s online catalogue. As well as the general book collection, the serial publications, the thesis and the old book collection.
The course, was imparted by Mercedes Estrada and Luisa Fernanda Flores, reference librarians of the Library´s Information center.
EBSCOHost contains more than 4.000 businesses and academic magazines in full text. JSTOR contributes 240 full text academic magazines, selected by experts in each subject. xRefer offers more than 100 encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri and sources of reference in all the study areas. Those resources, among others, are available to the intellectual community of the UFM through the Library´s
